I’m Mark Hammett, a trained celebrant with a genuine love for people, connection and the meaningful moments that shape our lives. For me, celebrancy is about far more than simply leading a ceremony — it is about creating something personal, thoughtful and true to the people at the heart of it.

As a celebrant in Wigan, I work with couples, families and individuals across Wigan, Chorley, Leigh, Skelmersdale and the surrounding areas to create ceremonies that feel authentic, heartfelt and deeply personal. Whether it is a joyful wedding, a heartfelt funeral, a naming ceremony, or another important life occasion, I take the time to listen carefully, understand what matters most to you, and create a ceremony that reflects your story with warmth, sincerity and care.

Having completed an intensive year-long training programme with Red Heart Ceremonies, including one-to-one mentoring, voice coaching and in-depth ceremony work, I bring both professionalism and compassion to every ceremony I deliver. My aim is always to help you feel supported, understood and completely at ease throughout the process.

Outside of celebrancy, I’m a proud father to two boys, Jack and Ollie, and family is at the centre of who I am. I also value wellbeing, connection and community, which is reflected in both my personal life and the way I work with others. Every ceremony I create is approached with integrity, calm guidance and genuine heart.
